Women love to experiment with their looks and want to buy all their cosmetics from a high-end company. And every woman needs some basic makeup essentials in her bag. Whether she is a makeup newbie who loves a natural appearance or a seasoned pro who wants to look flawless, everyone wants to look confident and attractive. 1. Cleanser
The first vital step in skincare or makeup application is to clean your face. There are so many cleansers available according to skin type. You can choose anyone based on the skin preferences that will be best for you.
My favorite is Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution. This solution removes dirt and makeup from the face and eyes. I usually use it before applying makeup and also to remove it. It is also included in basic essential items.
2. Serum/Moisturizer
Moisturizing the skin and making it hydrated is a perfect way to prep the skin before makeup. You can’t skip this part even if you have oily skin because it helps balance oil production. If your skin is oily, a serum will be enough for you. But if you want extra hydration for dry skin, go with the moisturizing cream. Yet, if you have super dry skin, you can apply both as you need extra hydration.
See all the attributions about the product you should use based on your skin type. I have normal skin that becomes a bit oily in the summer and dry in the winter. So I use both products depending on my needs. I usually use these two products:
1. CeraVe Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
2. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer
3. Face Primer
Some people believe that face primer is not essential, but it is the right way to do a flawless makeup look. Face primer is a must as a base to do makeup. Face primer helps to create a smooth and fresh makeup look. As a base, it fills all the pore gaps on the skin and makes it flawless.
It also comes according to skin type (such as the oil-control formula for oily skin, hydrating formula for dry skin, etc.).
My personal choice is Charlotte Tilbury magic cream. It reduces redness, plumps skin, and improves skin texture for makeup application.
4. Foundation/CC Cream
Foundation is very helpful for building a base for makeup and achieving a uniform skin-toned look. It comes in various varieties (liquid, creamy, and powdered) to suit your needs. You must discover the proper tone for your skin tone while choosing the solution. To avoid cakey and uneven-toned looks, choose the one that best fits your skin. Consider if your skin is oily, dry, or normal, and then pick the best foundation.

If you don’t want to use foundation daily, then cc cream is the option. It has a light consistency and doesn’t clog the pores. Yet, it does not give the same level of opaque covering as a foundation. Decide which one you want to use based on your requirements.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, SPF 15: Use a sunscreen lotion before applying it because only 15 SPF is not enough to protect the skin from sun damage. It is so lightweight and has great buildable coverage. I love using it since it makes my skin look hydrating and flawless.
I like to use this medium coverage IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow SPF 40 daily. It contains Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and green tea extract, which help brighten and smoothen the skin.
5. Concealer (makeup essentials)
We use makeup concealer to brighten the skin a little bit. And it also helps to cover all the imperfections on the face like dark circles, redness, and dullness.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: It is one of my favorite concealers since it works well on my skin and leaves it looking luminous and radiant. I like to use it as a spot fixer, an eyeshadow base, and a tool for highlighting and contouring the face. It also offers the skin a natural and silky texture.
6. Bronzer (must-have product in makeup bag)
We use this cosmetic product to give natural warmth and dimension to the skin. Apply it on the periphery of the face, the cheeks, jawline, sides of the forehead, and nose, to sweeten the face shape. It’s applied after face makeup before the blush to get an ultimate sun-kissed glow. Always choose one or two shades darker than your natural skin tone.

- The high point of the chick bones,
- Arch of the brow bone,
- Bridge of the nose
- Above the cupid bow, and
- The center of the chin.
I like to use the murumuru butter highlighter from Physicians Formula once more. This thing is like butter with softness and smoothness. And it has good pigmentation and smells like butter.
12. Setting powder
It is necessary to apply to keep your makeup in place for an extended period and make the skin appear smooth. You can also use it instead of foundation if you don’t feel like using foundation at any moment.
